Why Choosing a Niche Is Important and How To Do It

Some publishers charge a higher rate for content in competitive or sensitive niches — Casino, iGaming, Finance, Crypto, CBD, and similar. This is reflected in MeUp's checkout as a separate Sensitive Niche pricing option.

Why niche pricing exists

Publishers in these verticals take on more editorial risk by associating their site with competitive niche content. The surcharge reflects that. It's not a platform fee — it goes to the publisher.

The sensitive niches on MeUp

  • Casino

  • Finance/Trading

  • Erotic

  • Dating

  • CBD

  • Crypto

  • Medicine

How to apply it at checkout

When you add a placement to your cart, you'll see a Sensitive Niche

column for each line item.

  1. Click the Sensitive Niche dropdown on the relevant placement.

  2. Select the niche that matches your content — Casino, Finance/Trading, Crypto, etc.

  3. The price updates to reflect the niche rate.

  4. If no niche applies to your order, leave it as the default.

Not every site charges a niche premium. If the dropdown only shows

a default option, standard pricing applies regardless of your niche.

What happens if you don't select the right niche

If you order at standard pricing for content that should be niche-

priced, the publisher may reject the order or flag the discrepancy

during review. Selecting the correct niche upfront avoids delays.

⚠ Not sure whether your niche qualifies for a surcharge? Check

the listing details before adding to cart — niche pricing availability is

shown per placement. If you're still unsure, contact support before ordering.
