Choosing the article for a link insertion
For link insertions, your link goes into an existing article on the publisher's site. When you fill in the order details, the Placement section asks: Preferred article for your link placement?
Let the publisher choose (the default): the publisher picks the most fitting existing article on their site.
Choose it yourself: switch the option on and add the URL of the article where your link should go.
The URL must be an existing article on that publisher's site. The homepage isn't accepted here; for that, order a homepage link instead.
💡 Not sure which article to pick? Search the publisher's site for posts on your topic (e.g. site:example.com your keyword in Google) and choose one that already gets traffic and fits your anchor text.
Want to see the article before you buy? Ask our team through chat. We can check with the publisher which articles are available for your topic.
Brand mentions without a link ("Mention Only")
Sometimes you want your brand named, without a link. In the order details, switch on Mention Only. Your brand appears as plain text, and you don't need to provide a target URL.
Why use it? Established brands aren't linked every time they're mentioned. A link profile where every mention is a link can look unnatural to search engines. Adding unlinked mentions alongside your links keeps your growth looking organic and safe.
What to know
Write the brand name exactly as it should appear, in the anchor text field.
With no link, there's nothing for link monitoring to check. The mention isn't tracked like a backlink.
