Types of Accounts and How to Choose

When you sign up on MeUp, you're creating a buyer account. But within that, there are a few distinct account types and structures worth understanding — because the right setup depends on how you're using the platform.

The single buyer account

This is the standard account type. You browse the marketplace, place orders, manage campaigns, and track links.

There's no subscription. You create the account for free, top up your wallet, and pay only for the links you order.

Self-serve vs. Managed

Within a buyer account, you choose how you engage:

  • Self-serve — you run everything yourself. Browse, filter, order, submit content, and track results from your dashboard. Full control, no management layer.

  • Managed — our team handles strategy, publisher selection, content, and delivery on your behalf. You set goals and review progress; we do the operational work. Managed accounts require a minimum monthly budget. Management itself is free — you only pay for the links.

You can start self-serve and move to managed later. Both use the same marketplace and the same account infrastructure.

Single account vs. multiple accounts

Your login can hold multiple accounts — each with its own wallet, order history, and team access settings.

Single account works well if you're running campaigns for one domain or one brand. It's simpler to manage and keeps everything in one place.

Multiple accounts make sense if you're managing campaigns for several clients, multiple niche sites, or separate brands. Each account keeps its projects, budgets, and data fully separated — no cross-contamination.

Switch between accounts from the Account menu in the top left corner without logging out.
